Jubi CardioCare – Ask Your Cardiologist

A clinician-reviewed digital service providing non-urgent heart health information and support, designed to complement existing NHS care.

What is Ask Your Cardiologist?

Ask Your Cardiologist is a digital health support service that enables people with heart-related concerns to ask non-urgent questions and receive clinician-reviewed responses.

The service is designed to help users better understand their condition, test results, medications, and lifestyle advice between appointments, without replacing NHS services or clinician consultations.

Who is it for?

  • People living with heart conditions
  • Individuals with cardiovascular risk factors (e.g. blood pressure, cholesterol)
  • Patients waiting for, or between, cardiology appointments
  • Carers or family members supporting someone with a heart condition

How it works

  1. The user submits a non-urgent heart-related question via the platform
  2. The question is reviewed by a qualified clinician
  3. A clear, plain-language response is provided for information and support
  4. Where appropriate, users are guided to existing NHS services

What the service does not do

To ensure safety and clarity, Ask Your Cardiologist does not:

  • Diagnose medical conditions
  • Provide treatment or clinical management
  • Monitor health data or vital signs
  • Predict health outcomes
  • Replace GP, cardiology, or emergency services

Safety and escalation

This service is intended for non-urgent questions only.

If you experience symptoms such as:

  • Chest pain
  • Severe shortness of breath
  • Collapse or loss of consciousness
  • Sudden or worsening symptoms

You should seek urgent medical care immediately by contacting NHS 111, 999, or your local emergency services.

Regulatory status & governance

Ask Your Cardiologist is positioned as a non-medical device digital service under current UK regulations.

  • Not a medical device
  • Educational and supportive in nature
  • Clinician-reviewed, not automated

MHRA engagement

We have formally engaged with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to seek guidance on regulatory classification. An acknowledgement has been received, and further guidance is awaited.

NHS alignment

The service has been submitted to the NHS Innovation Service and is being prepared for structured, NHS-aligned pilot deployment.

DTAC

We are actively working towards alignment with the NHS Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC), covering:

  • Clinical safety
  • UK GDPR and data protection
  • Technical security
  • Usability and accessibility
